This work is a project I did for my sophomore year design class called See The Music. The goal for this project was to create a playlist and design some album/playlist artwork for the playlist. The expectation for the project was to create a playlist with a selection of songs, have a communication goal for my designs final outcome, and create a design that drew inspiration from the mood board I created. My experience in creating this project was probably the most creative of any project I’ve ever down thus far. For my final work I chose to create a “greatest hits” album of Lady Gaga’s most popular and under-recognized songs while designing an album artwork that embodies Lady Gaga as a person and is the name of a song she wrote called “enigma,” hence the name of the album I chose. The outcome of my work really exceeded my expectations as I felt creating it was a bit chaotic. The final outcome is a photo of different colored corn starch and water mixtures to create this hypnotic swirling and blending of the colors to create that enigmatic look.
